When I was a little baby ED, I fantasized that life would be better once we were a million-dollar organization.
Think of all the staff I could hire, think of all the time I would get back by delegating, I would dream.
Ha.
Mo money, mo problems.
It’s not that life was better at $1m or $2m or $3m, it was that there was a different flavor of problem. There are always going to be problems–just different problems at different levels.
Honestly, the problems I had at $3m had me wishing for the $1m problems.
There is no magical threshold of budget or staff size or reputation where the problems magically disappear.
Your problem might be that you think you shouldn’t have any problems.
Our job is to rise to the challenge of higher-quality problems.
